Procedure
1. First fill the basin about half full with water, and then add 50mL of crude oil.
2. Then pour 25ml of laundry soap into the water and crude oil.
3. Now stir the laundry soap in with the water and crude oil to break up the patches of crude oil.
4. Then mix 1 tsp. of baking soda, with 25ml of vinegar.
5. Next, you pour the baking soda & vinegar into the water & mix it in to further break up any clumps of crude oil
6. Now, spoon out the crude oil & put it in the beaker.
7. Then, use the sponge to absorb the top layer of the crude oil, as well as to contain that crude oil in the corners of the basin
8. Lastly, repeat step 6, this time removing crude oil from the contained areas. Continue to do this until the basin is rid of crude oil or as close to empty of the crude oil as you are able to achieve.
